Violet
M. Prebble,
age 95, of Blue Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, July
21, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
She
was born April 27, 1915 at Diller, Nebraska to Frank J.
and Anna (Fisher) Sedlacek.
She was a member of the New Hope Evangelical
Presbyterian Church of Blue Rapids.
A homemaker, she married Claude E. Prebble on
June 30, 1941 at Washington, Kansas.
He passed away on April 18, 1992.
She
was preceded in death by a grandson, Barry Lynn Pralle,
by four brothers and a sister; Arnold, Frank, Roy, Don
and Irene Pitney.
Survivors
include her two sons; Mark Prebble and wife Lynn of
Westcliffe, Colorado, Marvin Prebble and wife Margie of
Topeka, a daughter Mary Ann Pralle and husband Add of
Blue Rapids, four grandchildren; Tim, Shawn, Ryan and
Katie Ann, nine great-grandchildren and a niece Carol
Jean Crossley of St. Louis.
A
funeral service is planned for 2 pm, Friday, July 23,
2010 at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Blue Rapids with
Reverend Dick Coleman officiating.
Burial is at Greenwood Cemetery South of Blue
Rapids. Viewing
is from noon until 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home
with Violet’s family receiving guests between 6:30 and
8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to New Hope EPC, Building
Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
